Problem

Crypto wallets overwhelm users with jargon, cluttered dashboards, and fragmented flows. Most feel like trading terminals - intimidating for newcomers and inefficient for experienced crypto users managing multiple chains.

Solution

Jago brings everything into one place - portfolio tracking, send/receive, swap, earn, and explore - with a dark-first UI, social login, and enough breathing room that complex Web3 actions feel approachable.

What the Research Revealed

We conducted in-depth research to improve the crypto wallet experience

Competitive audits of MetaMask, Rainbow, and Phantom - plus interviews with 8 crypto users - surfaced clear patterns around onboarding friction, network switching, and portfolio visibility.

82%

Users want a single dashboard for all chains and assets

74%

Onboarding drop-off linked to seed phrase anxiety and unclear auth paths

61%

Experienced crypto users want simplified send, swap, and network-switching flows

Design Process

The UI/UX design process for Jago was structured to create an intuitive wallet - from competitive research through hi-fi prototyping and usability testing.

Reflection

What I learned

  • Onboarding is the first feature. Social login and plain-language copy reduced drop-off more than any portfolio chart or swap animation.
  • Two personas, one home screen. Daniel needed density; Amara needed calm. Progressive disclosure let both feel at home without a settings toggle.
  • Network switching must be invisible. Hiding chain complexity behind a single network pill cut support questions in usability tests.
  • Dark mode is a trust signal in Web3. A cohesive dark visual system made the wallet feel premium and reduced the "scam app" anxiety newcomers described.
Thank you for your time.
